Mouzon House

Mouzon House

Rebuilt in 1831 on the site of the house owned by Henry Mouzon and burned by Banastre Tarleton in 1780. Mouzon knew Tarleton when he attended the Sorbonne in France. Mouzon was a cousin of Francis Marion and made the maps of South and North Carolina that were used by George Washington and Lord Cornwallis in the Revolutionary War.
